Eulalah June DiMaggio, 84, of Chesterfield, MO, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:55 A.M., Monday, May 9, 2005 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
June had worked as a manager at the Broadway Department Store for many years.  She had graduated from business college in Chicago.  She was a lifelong Baptist, Sunday School teacher, and singer in the choir.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.  She had served as an officer for the American Baptist Women and as an adult leader in both the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of America.
She was born May 31, 1920 at Benton, IL, the daughter of Ray Alvin and Glades Bernadine (McCurdy) Plummer.
She married Marion Andrew DiMaggio, son of Vincenzo "Jim" and Pearl Jane (Moye) DiMaggio on December 8, 1940 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1989.  They moved to Los Angeles, CA after World War II.  They returned to Du Quoin after Marion retired in 1980.
She is survived by one daughter - Narda J. DeNunzio and husband Paul of Chesterfield, MO, one son - Don J. DiMaggio of Daytona Beach, FL, one brother - Bob Plummer of Los Angeles, CA, one sister - Mary Hargett and husband Chuck of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister - Helen Plummer and one brother - Jackie Plummer.
Funeral services will be at Noon, Saturday, May 14, 2005 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Steve Bareis officiating.
Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
